Investigate support for bidi (Arabic/Hebrew)

Description

I don’t really know what’s supposed to happen here, but I think merely ignoring bidi is wrong. For example, if nothing else, we need to be more clever about what the left and right margins chop off.

This ​vte bug has a handful of pointers.
