Is there a pre-existing incant for "dump the current view to a text file"? ::

:dump <file>

Have you made a convenient keybinding for dumping to an appropriate directory after just typing a filename? ::

:bindkey recv M-d command start-command dump zlog/dumps/

I don't suppose there's a setting to make it append instead of overwriting? ::
